Diplomatic Winter Bazaar 2025 Raises 310,000 KM to Support Children and Young People Across Bosnia and Herzegovina
Sarajevo, 3 March 2026 – The Organizing Committee of the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar (DWB) is proud to announce that the 2025 edition of the Bazaar raised 310,000 KM, funds that will be distributed to 28 organizations dedicated to supporting children and young people across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Beyond the funds raised, this achievement reflects the extraordinary spirit of solidarity among the international and local communities. The Diplomatic Winter Bazaar has become a place of connection and compassion. On December 6th 2025, over 13,000 visitors came together with 43 embassies and international organizations, international schools, local vendors, and more than 900 volunteers to support the cause. Their shared commitment created an atmosphere of generosity, and cultural exchange—reminding us that when communities unite, meaningful change becomes possible.
The Diplomatic Winter Bazaar is a fully volunteer-driven, nonprofit initiative of the international community in BiH. The 2025 Organizing Committee—David Badower (Sweden), Hiroko Aiki (Japan), Piet Bakker (the Netherlands), Madeline Ben Atikovic (the Philippines), Amy Davies (USA), Raoul Franker (Suriname), Elena Jidobin (Moldova), Dorina Kolici (Albania), and Marjo Wieman (the Netherlands)—extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed.
We especially thank our sponsors, including Leonardo Helicopters, Pomozi.ba, EFT Group, DPM Metals, Toyota BH, and Telemach Fondacija, whose generosity made this year’s impact possible. We also express sincere appreciation to EUFOR and NATO Headquarters Sarajevo for their special support.
This year’s Grantee Organizations work tirelessly to improve the lives of children and young people—those facing developmental challenges, disabilities, poverty, discrimination, or the absence of family care.
