Travel the World in a Single Hall: The 2025 Diplomatic Winter Bazaar Returns to Sarajevo on 6 December

Sarajevo’s most heartwarming winter tradition is back! The 2025 Diplomatic Winter Bazaar will take place on Saturday, 6 December, from 11 AM to 5 PM in the “Mirza Delibašić” Hall, Skenderija — inviting visitors to explore global cultures and cuisines while supporting a vital cause.

This beloved charity event transforms the “Skenderija” hall into a vibrant mosaic of nations, as embassies and international organizations showcase culinary specialties, handmade crafts, and cultural traditions from around the world. Local exhibitors will also offer a rich selection of unique gifts and treats, while a dedicated kid’s corner ensures plenty of fun for our youngest guests. As in previous years, visitors can also take part in a silent auction featuring exclusive items. This year’s event will also emphasize reducing plastic waste and encouraging recycling.

The Bazaar’s primary mission is to raise funds for children and young people in need across Bosnia and Herzegovina. All proceeds will be donated to deserving organizations that support children facing physical or mental challenges, those without parental care, and families in financial hardship.

Organized by the international community and powered by volunteers, the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar brings people together for a shared humanitarian goal. Individual sponsors and donors also make this event possible — their generosity transforms compassion into action. In particular, we want to thank this year´s key partners — Toyota BH, Telemach Fondacija, DPM Metals, Pomozi.ba, Sarajevo City and Kanton Sarajevo, and to highlight the special support brought this year by NATO Headquarters Sarajevo and EUFOR Althea Mission.

“Events like the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar foster warmth and solidarity through shared purpose,” says David Badower, President of the Organising Committee. “Over the years, we’ve raised significant funds and supported numerous wonderful organisations all over BiH – 27 of them in 2025. In these challenging times, this expression of generosity and unity in action is more important than ever, and we hope to see many visitors join us again this year.”

Tickets will be available for purchase starting November 3rd at Skenderija Hall´s ticket booth and at Europe House near the Eternal Flame. Admission is free for children ages 10 and under. Those who cannot attend but wish to support the cause are encouraged to make a donation to the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar campaign via pomozi.ba.
