With some of the funds we collected last year, we paid for personal assistants for two children, Mirza and Luna, through Bosnian Doctors for Disabled.
Meet Mirza
Because of his cerebral palsy, Mirza has limited use of his hands and needs a wheelchair and communication software. His personal assistant funded by DWB helps him participate in educational and social activities, and he dreams of becoming a programmer.
Meet Luna
Luna has autism with limited motor skills and needs assistance to eat, dress, or communicate independently. Thanks to the DWB donation, Luna’s parents were able to hire a personal assistant that is a teacher with extensive experience working with children with disabilities.
