Sarajevo looks forward to its December highlight: the 2024 Diplomatic Winter Bazaar taking place on 7 December at Skenderija

This year’s Diplomatic Winter Bazaar (DWB) will be held on Saturday 7 December in the “Mirza Delibasic” Hall, Skenderija, from 11 AM to 5 PM. Continuing a cherished tradition, embassy stands will showcase culinary specialties and cultural items from around the world. Additionally, local exhibitors will offer a diverse array of gifts and food, while a children’s corner will keep the little ones entertained.

The primary goal is once again to raise funds to support children and young people in need across BiH. All proceeds will be donated to carefully selected organisations that assist children facing physical or mental difficulties, some being orphans or finding themselves in a dire financial situation.

The Diplomatic Winter Bazaar is a non-profit organisation of the international community run by volunteers. The current members of its Organising Committee are David Badower (Sweden), Ilona Stölken (Germany), Tanya Messerli (Switzerland), Piet Bakker (The Netherlands), Madeline Ben Atiković (The Philippines) and Dorina Kolici (Albania).

The DWB is particularly grateful for the generous additional support provided by individual sponsors. This year’s main sponsors include EFT, Telemach Fondacija, Adriatic Metals, WPD, Mineco, Kanton Sarajevo, Sarajevo City and Pomozi.ba.

Tickets will go on sale from 6 November, with free admission for children aged 10 and under. More information on ticket sales and the event itself can be found on DWB’s social media channels.
